About The BAND

The Music Never Stopped

Willie & The Poor Boys Are Back!

It all started in 1985, when three high school friends — Willie Fisher, Gary Gravatt, and Scott Lollis — got together in the Poconos to jam and write songs. Before long, Joe Ecker and Rob Sawyer joined in, and the band was born. After years of playing for their friends, they started playing at local bars and pubs and quickly gained a reputation for their high-energy sets and deep love for Grateful Dead music.

What followed was more than just a band — it was a scene. Packed shows, nonstop jams, and a growing community of Deadheads who came together night after night for the music, the vibe, and the friendships that formed along the way.

Now, nearly 40 years later, that same spirit is coming back to life — as the band reunites from across the miles for one night only at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, PA.

Come dance, sing, and relive the magic that made those nights unforgettable.

Then and Now

Behind the Merch

Hi, and thanks so much for stopping by!

The music, the memories, the friendships — that’s what inspired this shop. It was created not only to celebrate Willie and The Poor Boys and mark the upcoming reunion, but also to give us a way to show our love for the band with gear made just for the occasion. It’s a chance to relive the moments we’ve all shared and to hang on to something that reminds us of those times.
The band has been a part of my life for decades. Most of us were high school friends, and when the band formed and needed a bass player, I introduced Rob to the group — and the rest is history. I’m excited to be helping bring this reunion together. It means a lot to see everyone reconnect and celebrate something that still means so much to so many of us.
As you take a look around, you’ll find a mix of items featuring both a slightly updated version of the original band logo — designed by our friend Gary Knize back in 1990 — and a fun new design he created just for the reunion. The rest of the designs were created by me under MK Inkspired Creations, a small side venture where I design custom graphics for businesses, weddings, events, and personal projects. The designs may not be perfect, but they’re original and made with love.
As a side note, everything is printed and shipped through a print-on-demand service, so while I handle the design side, I don’t personally fulfill or ship the orders. If something isn’t right with your order, I’ll do my best to help make it right.
Thanks again for your support — I hope you find something you love. Can’t wait to see you at the reunion! – Maria Kopa
